Simran Kaur is a psychologist dedicated to trauma-informed care and emotional healing. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Delhi, a Bachelor’s (Honours) in Psychology from Indraprastha College for Women, and an Advanced Diploma in Counselling Psychology. She currently works as a Consultant Psychologist at the Brave Souls Foundation, providing counselling support to acid attack survivors and women affected by gender-based violence. Her approach blends empathy, safety, and creativity to nurture healing and resilience. Previously, Simran worked with the School Mental Health Initiative (Govt. of NCT Delhi) where she led group sessions, early interventions, and teacher trainings across public schools. She also contributed to a WHO-aligned life skills curriculum for adolescents. At Sangath, she was involved in a clinical trial on autism in collaboration with the University of Manchester, supporting data collection, caregiver engagement, and research documentation. Her work spans schools, communities, and research settings—with a deep commitment to equity, empowerment, and creating safe spaces for those she serves. She is proud to stand with the Brave Souls Foundation and the survivors who inspire lasting change.
